Tessera Cards — a city you can carry, cast in engraving, metal and colour.
In ancient Rome, a tessera was a token symbolising access and belonging. Inspired by this concept, we created a collection of cards for the City of Dubrovnik, featuring its iconic landmarks, St. Blaise, and historic coat of arms.
Designed in a traditional engraving style inspired by banknotes and antique maps, the collection comes in three editions: Silver, Gold, and Red & Blue. A distinctive symbol combining a tower and the city walls connects the series, celebrating Dubrovnik’s rich cultural heritage.
The engravings extend beyond the cards onto silk scarves and clothing, transforming Dubrovnik’s heritage into everyday design. From detailed illustrations to a minimal tower symbol, Tessera blends history with modern simplicity, creating a piece of Dubrovnik to keep, wear and carry.
